Canal St. & ??

I was inspired by The Sartorialist for this one!  She was so pretty and so enwrapped in her telly, the sun was so bright, and everything was right in The Village – except that I was a little bit lost.  No matter.

Hello world!

Hello World!  “A New Amsterdam” is from a beautiful song by Travis, a song that kept singing itself to me recently when I was in New York and discovering Amsterdam Street.  I spent a Sunday afternoon wandering through a farmer’s market people-watching and thinking “a new day, a new dawn, a new Amsterdam” and it stuck – I can’t people-watch (my favorite thing to do) without thinking of this song.  So naturally it is the perfect name for this blog.
